    Chlorella is a type of algae that grows in fresh water. It is one of the most nutrient dense foods in the world. Chlorella is rich in vitamin C, E, B2, B3, magnesium, iron, zinc, beta-carotene and chlorophyll. It is alkalizing and rich in anti-oxidants that stimulate the immune system. It is primarily known as a detoxifying supplement and as such is widely used in Japan.   • Baobab

    Baobab is the common name for Adansonia digitate. It grows in Madagascar, Africa, Australia and Arabia. People in Africa are very aware of the rich-nutrient fruit’s power and call it “The Tree of Life”. Baobab fruit is high in vitamin C, potassium, calcium, magnesium, zinc, vitamin A, thiamin, B6 and bioflavonoids. It is said to have 6 times the vitamin C of oranges, double the antioxidants of acai berries, 10 times the fiber of apples, 4 times the potassium of bananas, 6 times the antioxidants of blackberries, 2 times the calcium of milk, 5 times the magnesium of avocados and more iron than red meat. Its high fiber content can optimize digestion, while the high content of vitamin C supports the production of collagen for the proper functioning of skin, bones and blood vessels.

  • Wheatgrass

    Nicknamed “liquid gold” wheatgrass is an excellent source of minerals. It contains vitamin A, C, E, iron, calcium, magnesium and 19 amino acids. The absolute star of wheatgrass is chlorophyll though, a phytochemical that gives dark leafy greens their colour. Wheatgrass is made up of 70 percent chlorophyll. Chlorophyll is essentially the blood of plants. Only green plants can transform the energy of the sun into chlorophyll via photosynthesis, so imagine it is like drinking liquid sunshine. Wheatgrass is highly alkaline which can support you if you need a detox. 

  • Flaxseed

    Linseed is rich in lignans, omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, vitamins A, E and B, as well as precious minerals such as manganese, magnesium, phosphorus and copper. Due to its high content of fiber it contributes to gut health and helps control appetite and weight. Lignans present in linseed have oestrogenic properties and therefore may offer benefits for menopausal health.

  • Spirulina

    Spirulina is a blue-green algae, mostly found in the alkaline lakes of Mexico and Africa. It has a perfect spiral shape, from which its name took origin. It belongs to a cyanobacteria species and it is incredibly rich in nutrients such as vitamins, minerals and trace elements, including vitamin A, B6, C, E, K, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, folate, calcium, magnesium, iron, phosphorus and zinc. But more importantly it is especially rich in essential amino acids. Spirulina is a rich source of phycocyanin, a powerful antioxidant which helps to protect the body against oxidative stress and premature ageing.   • Ashwagandha
